Excellent Service from Alan and the Team at Newlite Home Improvements
We recently had windows installed for our new extension by Alan and his team at Newlite Home Improvements, and we couldn’t be happier with the whole experience.
The installation went very smoothly, even though we had builders working around the property at the same time. Both engineers were respectful of our home, polite, professional and clearly took pride in their work.
We originally found Newlite through a Google search, where they appeared in the top results for Hastings. What really stood out was that Alan called me back after I had missed him. That immediately showed me that he genuinely values his customers and their business. Unlike some other companies we contacted, Alan insisted on coming to the property himself to look at the site and go through our extension drawings. To be honest, that personal approach was one of the main reasons we chose Newlite over other companies we had only spoken to on the phone.
His prices were also very competitive, but more importantly, the quality of the windows, workmanship and installation has been excellent. Alan is always easy to contact and, if he doesn’t answer straight away, he always calls back.
Overall, we are extremely happy with Newlite Home Improvements and would definitely recommend Alan and his team to anyone looking for quality windows and professional service. Great workmanship, great communication and a company that genuinely cares about doing a good job.

We contacted Alan after we moved into our bungalow as we needed a new front door. The old, solid wood one was blocking the light and made the property look a bit sad. Alan came to visit and spent a long time with us. His attention to detail is excellent. He helped us choose the right door, colour and style for our needs. He is a really nice guy. Newlite is probably not the cheapest door company around, but we have learnt in life that buying cheap actually costs you more in the end and causes headaches. You also can’t put a price on the very personal service that Alan provides with his company. He stayed in contact, answered my ridiculous questions quickly, kept us updated and visited during the installation to make sure all was well and that we were happy. The installation team were on time, friendly, tidy and efficient. We will definitely use Newlite for any other window or doors we may need and can highly recommend them. The front door is beautiful and now our once dark hallway is flooded with light.

When I sent out initial quote requests to several local companies for a large triple glazed window, I was surprised that many quoted an outline price before actually visiting the property, and then wanted a big deposit up front. And unsurprisingly some of those site-unseen quotes were poorly put together and priced. They would surely have ended up much higher in reality.
Alan at Newlite was the only one who said they needed to survey first. Alan was super professional with no hard sell - his aim was to help us decide what suited our requirements and what the options were in terms of design and spec. It was much more of a collaborative process.
After the visit, Alan gave us various prices options, and we opted for a triple glazing unit. After paying a small deposit, a second visit was quickly arranged to double check all the measurements. You have to applaud the 'measure twice, build once' mentality!
After a 6 week wait, the window was installed beautifully without any hitch. We are extremely happy and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Newlite.

Alan was very responsive and helpful when requested to replace glass door to fit in a cat flap.
Very personable professional service with the excellent fitter Martin who also fitted the cat flap and he also adjusted the patio door (where there was an existing gap), without us asking, and realigned the gap.

Alan and his team have been amazing. We got several quotes, but we were drawn to Newlite because of their great communication and the time they took to really understand what we wanted.
Martin, Tony and David fitted our windows and were lovely throughout, they kept us updated on the progress throughout the installation.

Amazing bespoke doors for a fraction of the price of that well known brand… Alan was so helpful, friendly, and accommodating throughout the process. We’re so glad we went for these doors rather than generic ones as it makes a huge difference to the space. Our builder had also measured wrong but it was no problem as Alan sorted us some matching filler panels that the fitting team promptly installed.

The whole experience with Newlite from contacting Alan Burden, arranging an estimate, to the technician Martin completing the job has been entirely satisfactory. I now have a new PVC door which is sturdy, well-designed and secure: and it has new features to comply with building regulation updates. Great service from start to finish, Alan answered my initial query very quickly and came round with brochures, he discussed what we would like and explained the different door types, he was great at advising what door would suit my property. Alan kept in touch and let me know when the door was ready to be fitted. Our fitter did a great job, was very friendly and polite, once he had finished he explained what he had done and ensured we were happy with the finished product and checked that the lock worked properly. I would definitely recommend this company .

Newlite's second job for us - first smart metal double doors and side windows, now replacing old double glazing units with new good quality products. This is a thoroughly professional set up, beginning with advice on what works best for us in the price range, then a surveyors check over to see off any problems in advance, then a fitter arriving on time, polite, and clearly with years of experience. Quick response to enquiry of replacement windows and assessment with advice on all or selected from Alan. I wasn't pressurised into replacing all the windows at all. Newlite was recommended to me by a neighbour and after a bad experience on checkatrade previously and 1 neighbour having constant problems with leaking in a conservatory from another company - i thought better to follow a recommendation from a neighbour who has used Newlite for over 15 years and been consistently happy ..with no leaks from a conservatory and had many windows - recently ordering a large replacement kitchen window .. and said Alan really cares about customers being happy and always follows up with calls to make sure all is ok. Mine were fitted exactly when promised..and I'm really happy and pleased that a local company has done such a great job..lots of contact..immediate answer to questions ..flexible with fitting arrangements around my schedule..friendly polite fitters who were tidy and careful of surroundings and my new carpets and who worked really hard. Fantastic job ..ahead of time..i have no doubt if i had any queries or problems they would be addressed..i just wish they could sort my other renovations out too! . I'm so pleased and satisfied that I've asked them to quote for a glazing job in berkshire for relatives. It is hard to find honest traders these days and with such a lot of money at stake you need to know you will get what you are paying for and expecting. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Alan, and the fitters Dave and Tony

We are so pleased with our new crittal windows and doors. Absolute top quality and the service we have received has been second to none from start to finish. Both Alan and his surveyor Adrien have been responsive to any questions along the way which has taken out a lot of the stress of our building project which might have otherwise been there. We got all our mid-century crittall windows replaced with aluminium ones by Newlite and Alan was amazing from beginning to end. He communicated with us consistently and was on hand for all our silly questions/alterations. You also can’t put a price on the very personal service that Alan provides with his company. He stayed in contact, answered my ridiculous questions quickly, kept us updated and visited during the installation to make sure all was well and that we were happy. The installation team were on time, friendly, tidy and efficient. We will definitely use Newlite for any other window or doors we may need and can highly recommend them. The front door is beautiful and now our once dark hallway is flooded with light.

Impeccable and professional journey from start to finish.
When I sent out initial quote requests to several local companies for a large triple glazed window, I was surprised that many quoted an outline price before actually visiting the property, and then wanted a big deposit up front. And unsurprisingly some of those site-unseen quotes were poorly put together and priced. They would surely have ended up much higher in reality.

Martin, Tony and David fitted our windows and were lovely throughout, they kept us updated on the progress throughout the installation.
After taking a while to decide, we chose slimline uPVC windows with white interiors and anthracite grey exteriors, and we absolutely love how they look. They’ve transformed our house!

Amazing bespoke doors for a fraction of the price of that well known brand… Alan was so helpful, friendly, and accommodating throughout the process. We’re so glad we went for these doors rather than generic ones as it makes a huge difference to the space. Our builder had also measured wrong but it was no problem as Alan sorted us some matching filler panels that the fitting team promptly installed.

Great service from start to finish, Alan answered my initial query very quickly and came round with brochures, he discussed what we would like and explained the different door types, he was great at advising what door would suit my property. Alan kept in touch and let me know when the door was ready to be fitted. Our fitter did a great job, was very friendly and polite, once he had finished he explained what he had done and ensured we were happy with the finished product and checked that the lock worked properly. Newlite's second job for us - first smart metal double doors and side windows, now replacing old double glazing units with new good quality products. Quick response to enquiry of replacement windows and assessment with advice on all or selected from Alan. I wasn't pressurised into replacing all the windows at all. Newlite was recommended to me by a neighbour and after a bad experience on checkatrade previously and 1 neighbour having constant problems with leaking in a conservatory from another company - i thought better to follow a recommendation from a neighbour who has used Newlite for over 15 years and been consistently happy ..with no leaks from a conservatory and had many windows - recently ordering a large replacement kitchen window .. and said Alan really cares about customers being happy and always follows up with calls to make sure all is ok. Mine were fitted exactly when promised..and I'm really happy and pleased that a local company has done such a great job..lots of contact..immediate answer to questions ..flexible with fitting arrangements around my schedule..friendly polite fitters who were tidy and careful of surroundings and my new carpets and who worked really hard. Fantastic job ..ahead of time..i have no doubt if i had any queries or problems they would be addressed..i just wish they could sort my other renovations out too! . I'm so pleased and satisfied that I've asked them to quote for a glazing job in berkshire for relatives. The whole experience with Newlite from contacting Alan Burden, arranging an estimate, to the technician Martin completing the job has been entirely satisfactory. I now have a new PVC door which is sturdy, well-designed and secure: and it has new features to comply with building regulation updates. Great service from start to finish, Alan answered my initial query very quickly and came round with brochures, he discussed what we would like and explained the different door types, he was great at advising what door would suit my property. Alan kept in touch and let me know when the door was ready to be fitted. Our fitter did a great job, was very friendly and polite, once he had finished he explained what he had done and ensured we were happy with the finished product and checked that the lock worked properly. I would definitely recommend this company .

Newlite's second job for us - first smart metal double doors and side windows, now replacing old double glazing units with new good quality products. This is a thoroughly professional set up, beginning with advice on what works best for us in the price range, then a surveyors check over to see off any problems in advance, then a fitter arriving on time, polite, and clearly with years of experience. Its important for me to trust people, and I do not hesitate to recommend this firm.

Quick response to enquiry of replacement windows and assessment with advice on all or selected from Alan. I wasn't pressurised into replacing all the windows at all. Newlite was recommended to me by a neighbour and after a bad experience on checkatrade previously and 1 neighbour having constant problems with leaking in a conservatory from another company - i thought better to follow a recommendation from a neighbour who has used Newlite for over 15 years and been consistently happy ..with no leaks from a conservatory and had many windows - recently ordering a large replacement kitchen window .. and said Alan really cares about customers being happy and always follows up with calls to make sure all is ok. Mine were fitted exactly when promised..and I'm really happy and pleased that a local company has done such a great job..lots of contact..immediate answer to questions ..flexible with fitting arrangements around my schedule..friendly polite fitters who were tidy and careful of surroundings and my new carpets and who worked really hard. Fantastic job ..ahead of time..i have no doubt if i had any queries or problems they would be addressed..i just wish they could sort my other renovations out too! . I'm so pleased and satisfied that I've asked them to quote for a glazing job in berkshire for relatives. It is hard to find honest traders these days and with such a lot of money at stake you need to know you will get what you are paying for and expecting. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Alan, and the fitters Dave and Tony

He communicated with us consistently and was on hand for all our silly questions/alterations. Newlite is fantastic! We wanted some crittall style doors and a window for our extension and from the moment we got in touch with Newlite the whole process was easy. Alan talks us through the different product options and decisions every step of the way and always made it clear where we were at in the process, answering any questions we had.
