Let us help you discover Atlas, the slimmest and strongest roof on the market.

There are many types of roofing systems on the market. Here, we explain why we supply the Atlas roof as just one of our many innovative products and explain the many advantages it has over other glass roofs.

What is the Atlas Roof?

The Atlas roof is made from aluminium. Aluminium is now widely regarded as the most suitable material for roofing systems. In fact, even the market leading PVCu roofs available with often use aluminium for the external hoods, cappings and other features.

Aluminium helps ensure that the Atlas roof is one of the strongest roof systems currently available on the market.

Minimal sight lines with extreme strength.

One innovation behind the Atlas Glazed roof is the slimness of its appearance. If you are wanting a lantern or any other kind of roof in your home, one of your reasons will be that you want something to bring in extra light.

The more glass and the less visible frame, the greater the amount of light.

With roof sections at only 40mm, there is no slimmer roof on the market. This is one key reason why it is so popular with homeowners and why it is one of our best selling products.

But don’t just take our word for it. The British Board of Agrément (BBA) as well as Queens University Testing testing by independent structural engineers have all independently tested the product and confirmed it as one of the strongest glazed roofs for the UK residential market.

You may not think this is important, but given the loadings on roofs with snow and heavy rain, roofs need to be dependable and reliable.

Offers more than traditional conservatory or orangery designs.

Look at any traditional conservatory or orangery and you will often see external hoods and covers. Clever design and engineering ensures that the Atlas roof does not require any external bulk such as hood covers or other bolt on pieces.

Where other roof systems require additional bars, supports and bulky visible profiles our Atlas roof is regarded as nearly 70% thinner than other roof systems at critical areas such as the ridge.

Where can you use the Atlas roof?

For any lean to, conservatory, orangery or hipped and pitched roof, Atlas roofs are ideal.

Added to this they benefit from superior thermal performance making your room comfortable to use all year round.

Condensation is reduced, heating bills are lower and you can even opt for triple glazing for even better performance.

A superior roof from an experienced installer.

Newlite have many years experience supplying and installing a wide variety of conservatory and other contemporary roofs in many local homes.

We recently completed a substantial installation for a dwelling in Sevenoaks, Kent were the original timber orangery roof required replacement.  This particular property was in a conservation area and retaining the original features of the original wood roof was critical.

This is an excellent example where the Atlas roof provided the ideal solution as its ultra slim roof bars had a remarkably similar appearance to the original timber roof bars.
