Sevenoaks orangery garden room

A challenging installation by Newlite of a replacement roof to an orangery style garden room in Sevenoaks High Street, Kent. The existing timber roof had rotted; our solution was to replace the roof with a new aluminium roof. Replacement roof to Orangery styled garden room. Existing timber roof had rotted.

The roof itself needed care and consideration.  Sevenoaks High Street is in a conservation area and the property itself is listed, with planning constraints.  On behalf of our customer, we also undertook to help with the relevant planning permission. The existing roof had suffered structural movement to the point that it was causing the glazing to crack.

The old roof was removed and disposed of by Newlite and work commenced on the new aluminium roof. Contemporarily styled rafters were the perfect replacement for old existing timber rafters.  At the end of the installation, that retained the existing windows, all that was left was for the customer to renovate the existing timber windows.  The end result is excellent.

  • Renovation of orangery extension in a listed building.
  • Atlas aluminium roof installed with traditional glazing bars.
  • Roof glazed with clear, solar sself-cleaning.
  • Roof bars are slim 40mm with contemporary styled internal rafters.
